Research Description:
Molecular virology of RNA viruses; feline immunodeficiency virus, the only small animal non-primate model for HIV; infectious bronchitis virus, a highly contagious poultry pathogen; and Cache Valley virus, a mosquito transmitted teratogenic agent. Cellular and humoral immune responses to viral infection and individual viral proteins for the development of gene vaccines. Wxamine in vivo and in vitro viral gene and protein functions with recombinant expression vectors.
