Pathobiology, Virology

Course Description:

1. To understand the fundamental characteristics of viruses.

2. To compare and appreciate the fundamental differences and similarities of viruses affecting man, animals, bacteria, plants, and insects.

3. To integrate knowledge of microbial genetics, recombinant DNA technology, immunology, and epidemiology into an understanding of viral disease processes.

 

Requirements:

3 hours of Microbiology

STUDENT ASSESSMENT:

The course grade will be derived from Four Exams and a Final:

Grade = 3 Best Exams 25% each & Final 25%
Final grade assignments will be assigned thus.

A=90 - 100%

B=80 - 90%

C=70 - 80%

D=60 - 70%

Below 60% will be a fail
